Fady is the founder and Chief Vision & Strategy Officer at ERGO, a strategy and innovation consulting firm, tackling business, social and behavioral challenges through principles of human-centered design. He champions working at the intersection of foresight, design and human behavior to conceive human-centered solutions that hold disruptive potential. Fady is a frequent speaker on human centricity and the power of design to advance human experience.
At the American University in Cairo, Fady is the Assistant Provost for Innovative Learning Experiences. He leads the university’s initiatives for curriculum innovation, future-of-work, and challenge-based experiential learning. His work fosters cross boundary collaboration between students, faculty and external partners to design, create and develop solutions to complex, real-life challenges.
Prior to his role as an assistant provost, Fady was the director of Scientific Thinking, a division focusing on critical thinking, complex problem solving and decision making. He has over 12 years of multidisciplinary higher education teaching experience in technology, applied science, design thinking, future thinking and innovation.
A space mission designer by training, Fady is the recipient of NASA Exceptional Award , NASA JSC Exceptional Software Award . Fady holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. from the University of Southern California, in Space Mission Design and Spacecraft Design, respectively; and a PhD. in Astrodynamics from The University of Texas at Austin.
